This contract for the breeding season of 2008 is made on the _____ day of ____________, is by and between Joseph and Rachael Falis (The Breeder) and ___________________________, hereinafter referred to as the Mare Owner. The Andalusian stallion Aliantro GA, registration number 3385(S), 
will be bred to ________________________, for the fee of $1,500, and a $100 non-refundable booking fee, for a Live Foal, as defined in number 4, subject to the following conditions:

1. The Mare owner is responsible to have rear shoes removed (live cover only)
2. Mares that are not halter broke or cannot be safely handled will not be accepted. 
3. The Mare owner shall be responsible for providing the Breeder with the following test results performed by a licensed veterinarian. The Mare Owner will be responsible for paying for these tests. (live cover only) 
• negative Coggins test and proof of up to date vaccinations (Rhino, Influenza, EEE/WEE, Tetanus, Rabies) and deworming (presented upon arrival) 
• negative uterine culture and smear performed within 30 days of mare’s arrival
• Ultrasound test performed by the 21st day after the last contact with the stallion and a pregnancy test (manual palpation or Ultrasound test) performed between 45-60th day of gestation to certify that the Mare is “Safe in Foal”. (Forward within 30 days of each exam). 
Without these results, the Mare Owner will not be entitled to rebreeding privileges under the “Live Foal Guarantee” under number 4 below. 
4. This contract contains a “Live Foal Guarantee”. A live foal is defined as a new born foal which stands and nurses without assistance. If foal is born dead or dies within 72 hours of foaling, there are rebreeding privileges only if Breeder is notified within ten (10) days by veterinarian’s statement confirming the death of the foal. 
5. It is agreed that should the mare miscarry, abort, or prove barren after leaving the Breeder’s premises, Mare Owner has the privilege to return her, or another acceptable mare, for breeding during the same season, if stallion is available, or the following year (2009). The privilege shall not extend into 2010. 
6. If the above named stallion should die, be sold by the owner, or become unfit for service, the stud fee minus the booking fee, will be refunded, thereby canceling this entire contract. If the mare dies, or becomes unfit to breed before being announced safe in foal, the Breeder will accept another mare, provided she meets all mare requirements above. 
7. This contract is non-transferable. In the event that the mare is sold or otherwise disposed of prior to the birth of the foal, the “Live Foal Guarantee” will no longer be valid. 
8. A total breeding fee of $1,600 ($1,500 Stallion Service Fee and $100 non-refundable booking fee) is due prior to breeding. 
9. Boarding fees will be $10.00 per day dry mare, $15.00 per day wet mare. Payment is due at the time of pick up.

Contract Addendum A: 
For Transported Semen

1. A $250.00 deposit is required for the equitainer, due prior to shipping semen. Semen will not be shipped until deposit is received. Transportation charges will be deducted from the deposit. 
2. $25.00 per day will be deducted from the deposit if the equitainer and its contents are not returned within 5 days of the date of semen shipment. It is the Mare Owner’s responsibility to make sure this deadline is met. Equitainer must be returned in good condition or full deposit will be withheld. 
3. 100% of the breeding fee ($1,500 Stallion Service Fee and $100 booking fee) is due prior to semen shipment. 
4. The Mare Owner must contact the Breeder to schedule the mare’s breeding cycle with the stallion’s availability. The Mare Owner must notify the Breeder of the mare’s first day of heat and 24 hours prior to the time that semen must be shipped. Semen will not be shipped if all of these contacts are not made as indicated.

In order to secure a breeding, Gray Fields Farm must receive a signed contract with the $100 booking fee. Make checks payable to Rachael or Joseph Falis and send to:
